This is day one of my new blog, and I have had other blogs before, but, none pertaining to my college experience. So far, most of it has been slightly disastrous, and not because I partied or got in with the wrong crowd or anything, but more simply because stress and worry took over. How are you supposed to think that making that perfect grade in biology is what life is made of when you have a friend worried about living to see another day in Iraq? There's not too much going on today though, it's the weekend so the cadets like to go out and I no longer have a car so I am resigned to the dorm on this rainy day. I ended up at NGCSU by pure chance after deciding that I could not take one more semester at home. I basically picked a public college, applied, got in, and went there, not really knowing what I was going to get myself into. It's actually a lot of fun up here, and not everyone is in the actual army; there are ROTC cadets, and then there are civilians, and commuters, and people who are in the army, and people who are cadets and in the army and plenty more categories of people from all walks of life. Not everyone likes each other, but we get along for the most part other than the occasional 3 a.m. fir drill, which bites the big one when you sleep on a bed that is six feet off the ground. For now, I really like it here and am glad that I made the decision to go here. So, if there are any questions or anything you want to see on this blog, let me know!!!
