Simone Taylor is a multi-talented performing artist. Gifted with the voice to sing, the flair to dance and the talent to act, this young professional has continued to hone her skills on varying platforms. Now 33 years old, she always had a profound interest in performing from childhood. That talent was reared throughout childhood and now she has put all those gifts to work as an effervescent performing artist.
Her acting was bolstered by starring in an independent short film called “Oh to Forgive” in 2010 for BET Lens on Talent, which was awarded Best Short Movie for a local film. The young actress also appeared in Season 2 and the movie of Keeping up with the Joneses, a local television series. This series and movie has been very successful locally and is now showing in the UK and will soon premiere in the USA.
On the dancing front, she danced and choreographed a solo piece for the album launch of Elector Pearson in 2007. Her gift for dance became highly notable with the Rhema Dance Ministry of Thankful Family Church in 2008 when she choreographed the winning dance group for the National Spirit of the Nation show entitled, “You are Holy.” Simone has ministered through dance at Thankful Family Church since 2007 and now continues to do so at Hope Church.
Her vocal talent can be heard most Sundays ministering in the worship session at Hope Church and has become a known and greatly appreciated talent throughout that Ministry. She continues to lend her talents across varying genres.
Creative art is my passion; singing, dancing, acting and I am interested in pursuing an acting career as this is my strong point.
I have done some stage plays in my church, a local sitcom here is Barbados called "Keeping Up With the Joneses" and I had the opportunity to star in a BET Rising Starts short film "Oh to forgive" by Brian & Rogeana King.
